Founder, producer, director and actor-singer
in the Golden (not over the) Hill Players Senior Theatre Company, Carlyn has
been performing since she was five years old in community, university, and
non-equity theatre in California, Arizona and the Midwest. With and M.A.
from UCLA, she has been a language teacher (French, Spanish, ESL), a world
traveler, an aerobics instructor, political campaign organizer, and a film
script supervisor among other things, but her real interest has always been
the theatre. She’s had years of leading roles in dramas…The Crucible,
MacBeth, Come Back Little Sheba, Glass Menagerie, Gin
Game, Rashomon, but her real love is musical theatre. A singer
with the Tucson Big Band and her own jazz trio, Carlyn produced and directed
musical dinner theatre in Arizona. In San Diego, she has acted with a few
local groups, was stage manager at

@Penn and Coronado Playhouse, and teaches Theatre Writing workshops in
the summer. |

recently got “blitzed” as part of the 10th
Annual New Playwrights Festival presented by The Fritz
Theatre; appearing as the neurotic desperate-for-a-man
Joanne in “Peaches En Regalia”. Local appearances include
Aubrey Award winning performances in “Joined at the Head”
(Maggy), “Ravenscroft” (Dolly), and “How to Succeed in
Business…” (Miss Jones). An accomplished costumer, she
earned her most current Aubrey designing costumes for “Not
Now Darling!” at Lamplighters (she also performed
double-duty as a cast member in the role of Tippers).
Although Teri has only been back in San Diego for a little
over three years, she has made the most of her time by
keeping active on stage: “Crimes of the Heart” (Babe),
“Rumors” (Chris), “Stepping Out” (Vera), “Talking With…”
(Audition), “The Miss Firecracker Contest (Carnelle), and
several others. Previous experience on the east coast
included roles in “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress”,
“Two Rooms”, “You Should Be So Lucky” and the title role
in “Sylvia”. Teri currently serves as the Vice President
of ACT San Diego and is the Acting Artistic Director for
OnStage Playhouse in Chula Vista...in her spare time
(ha!). |

Seattle, WA, and has established a career as a high school English teacher for
the last eight years. Receiving her Theatre Arts education from Cal State
Fullerton, she is just beginning to venture back on stage here in San Diego. In
the last year and a half, she has worked for Lamp Lighters Theatre in The
Engagement of Marjorie, The Lycium in the Actors Alliance Festival, and OnStage
Playhouse in The Odd Couple Female Version as Florence where she received an
Aubrey nomination for best actress in a comedy. Her latest work was at OnStage
Playhouse as Chris in Dancing at Lughnasa. Her most important work is being the

Jennifer Eve Kraus recently adapted for the stage the national best seller
"First They Killed My Father". It received its world premiere in San Diego
at a benefit for The Cambodia Fund which provides prosthetic limbs to land
mine victims in Cambodia. The benefit also featured Sheryl Crow. -- Jennifer
received her B.A. in Theatre from The College of Santa Fe and returned to
San Diego, her home town, to pursue her career as both an actress and a
director. She has studied with Del Arte in Blue Lake and is a mask maker and
performer. Last fall she appeared in "Taming of the Shrew" with Eveoke Dance Theatre. Her first experience with Womens Rep was in
their recent production of "Othello" which she assistant directed alongside
Delicia Turner Sonnenburg. She would like to thank her family for their love
and support and for always being open to new ideas, even when they include
their daughter kissing other women. |
